Enjoy a range of music being performed over the whole weekend.

Bring the family along to watch and listen to entertainers who will be performing for you.

There will be a choice of places where you can see the artists perform; from the Event's Opening Evening on the Friday the Sounds or Marching Bands in the Parade on the Saturday through to our Music Through the Eras on the Saturday Evening and then on Sunday our Vintage Tea Dance afternoon -dance the afternoon away listening to the 40's music with that lovely cup of tea and slice of cake, then it's our Pomp & Circumstance Concert end of show on the Sunday.

We are sure that we will have an array of entertainment throughout the weekend plus, stalls, funfair and much more to keep you entertained.

The Music Through the Eras will take you from 1940's to the 50's 60's, 70's and through to today's modern music so ensuring we have all kinds of lovable tunes that we all enjoy to listen to, dance to and celebrate to.

With Food & Drink outlets onsite, so bring your family along with your chairs and blankets and settle down and enjoy the entertainment.

The recreation ground will open from the following times: Friday 24th - 16.00 till 23.00, Saturday 25th - 10.00 till 23.00 and Sunday 26th - 10.00 till 22.00

In his military attire, Nick will be at the event all day delivering Stilt Walking, Balloon Modelling & Circus Acts together with his Glow Show.

Jazz Avenue are a versatile Jazz group. Based on the South Coast, the group perform nostalgic Jazz Standards, along with contemporary Artists such as Imelda May and Caro Emerald. They also like to take modern songs and put them through a 'Jazz Blender’ to give them a slightly different but familiar sound. There is nothing Jazz Avenue love more than to take their audience on a Journey, whether that is emotionally or mentally.

Jennifer Parker-Lummis

Performing all weekend and will be our Headline Act on Sunday in our 'Pomp & Circumstance'.

Jennifer is a local soprano based in Gosport and trained at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Jennifer will be singing various classical tunes to celebrate our nations colours, red, white and blue.

Amanda Jane

Amanda Jane has been singing for many years all over the UK. She has worked in show casts on Holiday Villages performing a variety of different shows and venues.

Amanda Jane has been very fortunate in working with west end talents and performing on the Dominion Theatre in London’s West End for the Help the Heroes charity event starring Marti Pellow and Michael Ball.

Touring the UK with the show, Songs For Victory and recording the album which is on iTunes, Amanda Jane embraced the 1940’s melodies.

From this she set out to perform solo at many events singing songs from stars such as Vera Lynn and Ella Fitzgerald to name a few.

The means of these songs she holds close to her heart with her husband being in the Military and she also enjoys singing for the elderly as a memory link for those who suffer with dementia.

Her journey now takes her to sing all over the country for different kinds of events such as weddings, parties and huge themed weekends.

Amanda also extends her repertoire from singing 1940’s all the way to present day which really works for all kinds of events too - so long as everyone is having a great time Amanda Jane is one happy lady!

Portsmouth Military Wives Choir

Portsmouth Military Wives Choir was founded in 2012 as one of the first to be formed after the BBC programme with Gareth Malone. Our choir is made up of wives, girlfriends, sisters, mothers of serving personnel and veterans as well as actual serving personnel and veterans from all 3 services.
The motto of the Military Wives Choir Foundation is Sing Share Support which is fundamental to the welfare of military families. Military personnel move frequently, around the world, and the Choir provides a familiarity of knowing you can turn up every week and sing a shared repertoire of music across the network with people who understand.
There are now over 75 Choirs on British Military bases around the world, and MWC brings together over 2000 women in the military community through singing.
Portsmouth MWC has taken trips to Ypres and Amiens for concerts, have performed at Southwick D-Day Revival, Pompey Pals, Highclere Castle, and regularly perform with the Royal Marine Association Concert Band and the Collingwood Volunteer Band, and are the only Military Wives Choir to have been heard singing on the International Space Station!!
The MWC Foundation has released 4 albums, most recently ‘Remember’ commemorating WWI Centenary.
